  • No. While having some background can help, our pre-course tutorials will get you up to speed and ready to start learning on Day 1.
  • At University of Wisconsin Coding Boot Camp, it’s not about your experience, your resume or your degree—it’s about your passion and drive to succeed. Web development is tough work, and we look for students who are determined and willing to give the program their all in order to achieve life-changing results.
  • No, applicants to the University of Wisconsin Boot Camps do not need to be UW students. This program is offered through a collaboration between UW Extended Campus, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Madison, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stout, and UW-Green Bay.
  • Our program has an application process and is not open enrollment. Once a prospective student fills out the form or calls our admissions department, they will go through an initial phone interview with an advisor. Applicants who are recommended to move forward will then take a critical thinking and problem-solving assessment.
  • No, the only requirement is that you have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Students receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Wisconsin, the only university-backed coding boot camp in Wisconsin.
  • Our program provides all the benefits of an in-person classroom environment through a unique online format, allowing you to study through engaging online material and live virtual classes from any location.
  • We offer a part-time class schedule that allows working professionals to study web development without leaving work.
  • You will benefit from a robust set of professional development services to prepare you for success as you work to advance or change careers.
  • Our curriculum is built based on the most in-demand technologies specific to the regional market.
  • Our program requires 9 hours of in-class time per week. In addition, you must be willing to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours to outside work per week in order to truly immerse yourself in the materials covered in class.*

  • Yes, a reliable computer is required for this course. Computers can be Mac or PC, with a minimum 8GB of RAM and a dual core processor.

  • No, all that is needed for class is your computer and the eagerness to learn.
  • Currently, University of Wisconsin System alumni are eligible for a $500 scholarship toward tuition. We also offer early registration pricing and payment plans.

  • No programming experience is required, however, it is recommended that applicants hold a Bachelor’s Degree or have at least two years of experience in business, management, finance, statistics, or a related field.
