UW-Milwaukee and UW Extended Campus Team Up to Expand Coding Boot Camp Offering
Demand for full stack web developers continues to grow; in fact, the occupational outlook for web developers in Wisconsin is projected to grow by 9.1% through 2028 — well above the average demand for other jobs. And now more than ever, adult learners are turning to universities to obtain the training needed for these in-demand jobs in the modern digital economy.
That’s why the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education is pleased to partner with the University of Wisconsin Extended Campus and 2U, Inc., to offer an online, full stack web development boot camp launching May 19, 2021. Through this exciting collaboration, even more Wisconsinites will have the opportunity to earn a skills-based, career ready credential via an intensive coding program.
Designed for working professionals and individuals who are looking to quickly obtain technical skills, University of Wisconsin Coding Boot Camp immerses students in the fundamentals of web development through a flexible online format with a convenient part-time schedule.
Students will benefit from additional support both inside and outside of the virtual classroom through a network of instructors, tutors, and peers; as well as a dedicated Career Director to assist in developing soft skills and professional materials. Together, you’ll map a career path that blends your existing experience with the skills you obtain through the boot camp and work to achieve career milestones and become employer competitive. You’ll also gain access to a network of industry partners and program alumni to help further your professional success after completing the boot camp.
For learners eager to enhance their technical skill set beyond the 24-week curriculum, University of Wisconsin Coding Boot Camp offers additional continuation courses that provide supplemental learning opportunities. Increase your marketability through crash courses in Python, Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and C#.
